The feature photo is the group on the last full day of the cruise!
Our next stop was Skagway. I took a ride on the White Pass Railway – a very scenic trip up to White Pass Summit.
We had more interesting discussions – were often distracted by the view out the window – and learnt more about PORTL. There was a discussion about coping with an aggressive animal – using fear as our ally. We talked about managing the environment – using protected contact – checking for physical issues – going slowly – not looking for a quick fix.
Kay reminded us to beware of ‘cheerleading’ when training our animal. This is something I always do! I can’t help myself!! She tells us to avoid a scaffolding (support) that is superfluous……. I often think of this when I am cheerleading….
The days went just too quickly – there was so much to fit in!! We also had evening gatherings – and ice cream meetings!!
I was exhausted!!! I put it down to the non stop action and my brain trying to take in so much!
We had a final evening tour to Butchart Gardens. This was one of the most enjoyable tours. The beauty!!! Here are some more photos!
I could have spent a lot more time there – but of course we had a ship to catch… and it was after midnight!!!
What an amazing cruise!!! So much to take in! It was great to see old friends from the first cruise – and make new friends. It’s now been almost four years since the cruise – but I have such fond memories of it!
It was sad for it to come to an end – but I was about to head to my next destination!
COMING UP – VISITING THE PONY FAIRY!
